Favorite Nativity Scenes

Here are a few of my favorite nativity scenes.  Just looking at them brings me joy.  In fact, I’d be happy to leave them out all year round!

These are the smallest items–made in Peru.
An egg and a candle.

Finally, elegant, simple, understated–from Poland.

There’s nothing particularly sacred about any of these.  Most feature regular people and their culture.  They don’t necessarily look like you or I, but it seems they come close to the truth about Christmas.  Glad tidings of joy for all people!  Especially, but not only, for the ‘little people.’
