Three Days, Three Quotes Challenge | Day 2

Say but little
and
say it well

I’m walking along the sidewalk outside the still-new Scottish Parliament building in Edinburgh. Quotes are engraved on the wall in spaces that seem deliberately left open for future inscriptions.

So why pick this? I love its brevity, and its application to writing as well as speaking. I’m guessing this is a message (in two languages) from Scots who count on their representatives inside the walls to speak on their behalf. No long-winded speeches, please. Just carefully chosen words that hit the mark. Then sit down.

I wonder whether they know about Proverbs 10:19?
