This one grabbed my gut the first time I saw it. Haven’t decided yet how to take it. 🤔

We had a creepy old mental hospital in Buffalo, supposedly haunted that they do tours around Halloween….never got the chance, not sure I’d want to….eeks. 🙂

I’m with you. They do tours of an old penitentiary here in Philly. It’s undoubtedly haunted by history if not by other things. You can, if you request, be locked into a solitary confinement cell for a period of time to see what it’s like. Definitely not for me!

now I think I would enjoy solitary, I see it like being deserted on an island, I would hum and sing to myself all day and meditate 🙂 ah, peace and quiet? ha 🙂

Yes to the deserted island! 🙂 The old Eastern PA Penitentiary’s solitary confinement included sensory deprivation–which was, for some, enough to drive them mad. I remember listening to a reporter’s account of his own tour of the site, including an optional lockup in solitary. He said the beat of his own heart became unendurable. No light or sound from the outside world. Now outlawed, as I recall–at least in this extreme form. Bleaker than bleak! 😦 So grab that island and go for it! 🙂

yes yes yes to an island….I have one here, just don’t get there often enough, but it is spring break and I dread the overflow of bodies, I like the season when the “birds” fly North again and I can sometimes walk the beach alone without another soul in sight 🙂 perhaps I will pass on the sensory deprivation aspect, I just thought it would be a room without a view 🙂 but with a bed and quiet 🙂

Yikes! An overflow of bodies? There’s nothing so calming as a stroll down a deserted beach. 🐚🏝👣😍
