patches of sun
by Elouise
patches of sun
shifty clouds
stiff cold breezes and
autumn leaves dropping
mess with my brain
breaking waves
crash onshore
chilled warmth floats
here and there
on the beach
in the mountains
on a long walk
through my life
tears and memories
of what was
and will always be
how quickly
seasons come
and go
Yes, another morning walk. This time full of nostalgia—the good kind. Sometimes it feels like my past is flooding the present. Reminding me that I’ve lived and loved with all my heart. And still do.
Cheers to each of you today,
Elouise♥

I’m so glad for nostalgia and memories…of the good kind. Keep living and loving with all of your heart, Elouise!
It seems this season…this time of year…is one of contemplation….when we look back…we ponder…and then we wonder about the days ahead.
I wish you warmth, light, and smiles. 🙂

Hi, Carolyn! I’m just back from another lovely, late fall walk around the neighborhood. Contemplation. Such a great word, and wonderful time of the year to practice it. I hope your week is filled with sunshine (figuratively if not in reality), and wonderful surprises. 🙂
