What About the Women?

I tried to write another post about my relationships with men.  But I couldn’t.  I felt myself getting bogged down looking at only part of this confusing picture.  Yes, I have 5 pages of notes about men.  But I have over 13 pages of handwritten notes about women!

The Shepherdess

Simple elegance
Strong body
Sun bonnet
casts shade over
tumbling tresses
Hint of smile
Head turns slightly
Eyes averted
Basket of posies
loops gracefully
around bare forearm
Sweet dress
swirls gently over
exposed ankles
Feet clad in
flat slippers
firmly grounded
Left arm cradles
shepherd’s crook
worn and ready
at her side
Beware wolves
in shepherd’s clothing
