for my love
by Elouise
I thought to buy
my love a gift
unique in every way.
Yet as I searched
along the shelves
Alas! I was dismayed.
They were so cheap!
So look-alike!
My heart fell in despair.
And so my heart
I give to you–
unique in every way.
♥

I’m certain that your heart was all that was desired any way 🙂

Yes! I tend to get all twisted into a pretzel sometimes when it comes to gift-giving!

I do as well. I’m not big on going to stores. I’d rather give you the money and let you buy something that you really want…

Hmm. Have you tried your heart lately? Assuming that’s appropriate…

I would definitely give that instead. Its worth is far more than anything anyone could pay for…or at least I’d like to think so… 🙂

Imperial de Guerlain perfume is nice though (I saw the bottle in the picture) around $85.00. I liked your poem too.

Thanks, David! I thought the display was spectacular–never thinking I’d attach this photo to this little poem. They seemed a happy, if offbeat, match. I’m impressed that you know the monetary price of I de G! Glad you liked the poem, too.

My grandfather always had it on hand. I use it on special occasions.
