A Prayer of Lament
by Elouise
We’ve lost our way –
Or never found it
Bitter bargains struck
Trust betrayed
Loyalties unexamined
Bodies scorned
Contempt exalted
Rage rewarded
Fear ignited
Self promoted
Spoils of a winning war
Good Shepherd, have mercy on us all.
Amen

Oh, my dear. I am not going to give into a lament, because I know that a loving God beats fear every time. The candle can light up the dark, but the darkness cannot put out the light. 😀 Hugs!
