evensong
by Elouise

no two alike
nature’s stately rhythms
offer evensong
***
stars and clouds emerge
against warm rays of a dying day
wind currents crisscross the heavens
swaying trees and fence genuflect
nature listens alert
dry grassy ground waits,
invites me into
the presence of my Maker

I used to go to Evensong at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Melbourne every night of the week Monday to Friday, (c. 1964-65)
The Precentor had the most beautiful voice and brought the Gregorian Chant to life.
We got on well together.

According to my family I don’t have one of those; but it can still resonate in my mind! 😀

Thank you kindly, I think. Here’s hoping your “meds eye” isn’t foggy, and that your heart’s mind is clear….❤
