Telling the Truth

she peeks through bamboo

sparkling eyes smiling coyly –

golden locks waving

* * * * *

She’s calling to me!

I can’t resist!

I’ve been too long

at desks like this!

If I don’t up and

get away

I’ll surely keel over

any day!

For now I bid

a fond farewell

but rest assured

all will be well.

I have a plan so

you won’t pine

or furrow your brows

and let out a whine!

We’ll have some fun

I’ll still check in

But right now, dears,

I need to run,

or I’ll miss my plane

and That’s No Fun!
