Thank you, Dear Readers! | Post #100
I don’t have a clue how many of you are out there in The Great Beyond. I just know this blog lives and breathes by a two-way unspoken agreement:
I write; you read.
OK. I know. It’s far more complex than that.
Yet here’s the truth about me: I’m an old-fashioned communicator. I like to eyeball my audience. I read body language the way a starving vulture picks at a carcass! Every tiny morsel is precious. I loathe not being in your presence.
Nonetheless, I’m feeling great today.
Nearly 300 of you are following Telling the Truth.
Even more important:
Since 27 December 2013 you’ve racked up nearly 11,000 WordPress views!
Here’s the bottom line:
YOU are the reason this blog exists!
Yes, what I write is important to me personally, whether anyone reads it or not. Finding the right words always matters. It helps me understand my life, my context and my future direction. I have journals full of that kind of writing.
Telling the Truth is different. I need real people just like you on the other end of my writing. Without readers like you, I might as well crack open another spiral notebook and begin privately telling more truth to myself and to God.
Not a bad plan. It just wouldn’t be a public blog. Which means we would never have met this way, and I would not have the privilege of visiting your blogs or responding to your comments and questions.
Thank you, Dear Readers, for showing up!
And thank you, WordPress, for providing an outstanding platform
that does almost everything but write my posts!
