Telling the Truth

Dear Readers,
One year ago today, I held my breath and hit publish for the very first time.   Also one year ago, some of you started showing up for the very first time.  I’m beyond grateful for your faithful reading, comments, likes, encouragement, and presence.

If I could throw an elegant dinner party for you at Longwood Gardens, I would.  The photo above shows the table I would set for you.  We would need more chairs, but that’s no problem–Longwood has plenty of space!  You’ve done for this blog what only you could do.  Without you, there would be no blog.  Just a lonely lady writing notes to herself.

One of the challenges for newcomers (who keep arriving steadily) is how to get oriented.  I got thinking about Alice in Wonderland, and decided to borrow an idea.  If you check out the Categories below, you’ll see a brand new Begin Here category.  Obviously, it’s not a rule or a requirement!  I’m hoping it helps newcomers and oldtimers go back to posts that set the table for everything else.  Take a look and see what you think.

As hinted in my fun Polly Darton post yesterday, I’ve been under the weather (though not over you!), and am still taking it easy.  I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying the weekend.  Or, alternatively, that you’re resting up and doing whatever you need to do to get ready for the new year.
