Winter Palace

Huddled ranks
Soar toward heaven
Stand guard
in ice-plumed headdress
before spiked doorway
Distant turrets beckon
Enter
if you dare

My first thought when I saw this photo was Narnia, under the spell of the Wicked Witch — who, of course, was eager to entice at least one vulnerable earth boy to her icy palace, deep within her icy world. Have you read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, by C. S. Lewis? If not, get hooked and read the entire series. At least twice! Enter, if you dare….

read the series many times and my kayak’s name is Jadis (the white witch) and went to the play in town to see it, lovely production. Very cool photo ❤

black and white camouflage, but a lot of white, unlike hubby which has more black, had to find a suitable name, hope she keeps me safe from the gators jaws 🙂

Jadis would definitely scare me off! But then I’m not a gator, and my jaw is broken. Maybe you should hope to meet up with broken-jaw gators? 🙂 Your comment about reading the Narnia series more than once brought back memories of reading them to our children. More than once. They’re still fans, and avid readers.

A cartoon of it came out when I was young, I saved up my chore money to buy the series, took it upon myself to read them all, I don’t think any one else in my family ever read them, I was always the odd teen😊 but then again I’m an odd adult too for my reading material😊🙏🏻💕
