sinking daylight
by Elouise
sinking daylight births
spirit mist rising over
dark flowing river
* * * * *
infinitesimal
droplets
hover
glistening–
brooding
harbingers
reflecting
rays of
setting sun–
mercurial spirits
rising from
unknown depths
dancing

Have you considered submitting any of your haiku to Presence journal? 🙂

Laurie, Thanks for the question–I think! I love writing haiku. They satisfy something prose can’t match–or even other forms of poetry. I’m not sure what that ‘something’ is, but I know it when I feel it.
