light-hearted gusts send

brilliant cotton clouds tumbling

across sea-blue sky

the storm

passed last night

today’s air is clean, strong, heady

I’m caught off guard

off balance

stumbling into

you–

a rainbow arc gracing

life as it is

not as I vainly wished it to be

not so very long
